(work) SHOP & (clothing) SWAP with SACHA Hamilton at the YWCA
From 6-7pm Making Work Places Safer Workshop was led by SACHA, Sexual Assault Centre in Hamilton, a non-profit organization.
“Workplace sexual harassment is a hard issue. Many women, non-binary folks, and other marginalized groups can be made to feel less than because of workplace cultures that promote imbalances of power or abuse. This hour-long participatory workshop will cover workplace harassment legislation in Ontario (Bill 132), options for folks experiencing abuse at work, and some skills to create a workplace culture based on consent and equity.”
After the workshop, we will be holding a community clothing swap! Bring in your gently loved clothing and accessories (washed & good condition) and swap them! This is a fun and sustainable opportunity to clean out your closet and find some great new finds. At the end of the swap, everything left over will be donated to YWCA Transitional Living Center. Feel free to bring and leave as much as you want!
